Students from every skill level are welcome. Students will learn to perceive and translate the visual world into their own artistic expression. Technical skills are mastered through direct observation, perspective drawing, working from models, and experimental mark-making and material use. From introductory and life painting to more contemporary and abstract techniques in oil, acrylic, pastels, watercolour and water-based media. Students will be challenged to articulate themselves using different styles and subjects that they are excited about.
